This was one of my favorite shirts from college that I have held on to from almost 10 years. After many stains & lots of wear, I have decided to quit wearing it and make it into a dress for my baby girl. First, I cut out the front of the shirt into a square.
I bought this shirt from a thrift shop and cut it in half.
Next I cut the shirt down the sides because it is easy to sew this way.
Next I sewed that square I cut out to the front, and a square from another fabric to the back.
Next I sewed a ruffle onto the middle of the dress on both sides.
Then a sewed a bigger ruffle to the bottom on both sides.
That's it! I sewed the right sides together and that was it!
