Flower Dress
This dress started with 2 shirts bought from a thrift store.

I made a pattern and cut the top portion of the dress out. I decided this dress was going to be sleeveless.
Next I got a brown t-shirt for the bottom part of the dress. This square will be the back part of the skirt.
Then I cut a purple shirt into a square for the front part of the shirt.
Next I cut 3 strips of the brown shirt for the flower part of the dress, and cut out the neck hole for the middle part of the flower.
Next I sewed the bottom and top parts of the dress together. The front and back parts of the dress are still 2 separate parts. I will sew them together later.
This is me making a ruffle out of one of the brown strips while my son watches a movie on the ipad. He is such a great helper!

This is the ruffle sewn together ready to be sewn on the dress.
Just sew the ruffles on the dress in a circle to make it look like a flower. Cut the neckhole so you can make a ruffle out of it an sewn in the middle of the brown flower.
Sew the shoulders together, then sew the dress right sides together to finish it.
This is my ipad son trying on the dress. Let's just say he refused to try on the next dress.

I made this next dress the same way with a few twists out of a women's target shirt I got from the thrift store.
This is the front of the dress all done. I added the flower up top so the neckline wouldn't be so low.
